A medical student-run program at Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School introduced high school students to an array of careers in health and medicine.
As part of a summer pathways program at Brown’s Warren Alpert Medical School, students from nearby Rhode Island cities learned what it’s like to pursue a career in medicine.
The federal awards enable the extension of two separate Brown initiatives with a shared goal: to prepare students from underrepresented groups to succeed in STEM graduate programs and launch careers in the sciences.
Children and families convened with students, faculty and professionals at the Black Men in White Coats youth summit, focused on encouraging careers and strengthening the future of health and medicine in Rhode Island.
