Diversity in Medicine Visiting Student (DVS) Scholarship is a program co-sponsored by the Office of Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University-affiliated medical departments.
This program is an opportunity for qualified fourth year students, with a demonstrated interest health equity and inclusive clinical learning environments, to participate in clinical electives at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Eligibility
All fourth year medical students in good academic standing at a U.S.-accredited medical school are eligible to apply. Medical students must have completed all core clerkships at their home institution.
Application
To be considered for the scholarship award, students are required to apply through Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO). All of our opportunities will have "DVS" in the elective title. You will be charged a $15 for each specialty you apply for. Please send us an email if you have any questions.

The Application deadline is eight (8) weeks prior to the elective start date.
Scholarship Award
The scholarship award is $1,000.00 - $2,500.00 for travel, housing and/or personal expenses depending on the program. The Scholarship Award varies per program.
