"The RCEIN program gave me an incredible summer experience where I was able to connect with mentors and receive guidance about my future in medicine and research. After being immersed in research and constantly observing professionals in the field, it solidified the fact that I want to further pursue science and medicine. Without having done this program, I would not have been introduced into neuroscience and discovered how much I wish to learn more about and hopefully contribute to this field. I am so grateful to have been part of this experience and met all the people I have through it, not just mentors, but also future peers in the fields of
neurology, neurosurgery, and neuroscience."
Yes, this experience has altered my future goals immensely. Prior to the program I was pretty sure that I would be going into medical school and specializing in either neurology or neurosurgery. However, this program made me realize that I am 100% sure that I would like to go into this field and overall medicine. Another amazing change this has done for me is to develop connections with others in this field and gaining mentors who I hope to work with in the future."
