Tracey M. Guthrie, MD

Assistant Dean for Diversity

Biography

Dr. Guthrie is the Program Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program at Brown. She graduated from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She continued her training at the Brown Psychiatry Residency Training Program where she was Chief Resident. Dr. Guthrie has been involved with medical student education at Brown since 2002 and psychiatry residency training since 2005.

She has served in many leadership roles within the Medical School including Clerkship Site Director and Associate Clerkship Director in Psychiatry for Brown medical students; Assistant and Associate Residency Program Director in the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior. Dr. Guthrie's clinical work has focused on the acute treatment of patients with severe mental illness. In her role with the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs, her desire is to help Brown continue to grow as an inclusive environment and to provide mentorship for students, trainees and faculty.
